Fall Five Wellbeing Detox

Fall Five Wellbeing Detox

For many, it is common practice to detox with the change of every season. Doing so cleanses our body, mind, and soul by removing any toxins that exist from stress, lifestyle choices, and even environmental factors.

We all know our taste changes, activity level/interest shifts, sleep habits/patterns fluctuate, and overall daily habits are adjusted with the turn of the seasons. We go from cold, fresh fruits and vegetables to more warm and hearty meals. Completing a Fall Five Wellbeing Detox can help prepare you for these changes and withdraw any toxins or build-ups created from the hot summer months.

A Fall Five Wellbeing detox will also help prepare our immune systems for the exposures to come with reduced daylight, increased indoor activities, and colder weather.

Tech Detox

Wikipedia says: “Digital detox refers to a period of time when a person voluntarily refrains from using digital devices such as smartphones, computers, and social media platforms. This form of detoxification has gained popularity, as individuals have increased their time spent on digital devices and the Internet. The extended overuse of technology has been found to reduce the quality of sleep, cause eye strain and vision problems, as well as lead to the increased occurrence of migraine headaches.”

We say it impacts our total wellbeing – our body, mind, and soul.

Here are Five Things You Can Do To Detox:

  1. Download a phone usage app and set a limit of 2 hours a day.
  2. While on a walk keep your phone in your pocket and don’t pull it out.
  3. Turn off all notifications and intentionally set time aside to check messages.
  4. Enjoy a tv/computer/phone-free meal daily.
  5. Remove all apps that distract and suck your time.

Technology is here to stay and plays a very valuable role in our lives.

We all have work/school requirements, social obligations, and so much more that require an online presence.

However, it is creeping into every minute of our day and night.  By taking a tech detox, we will learn 2 important things that will have a positive impact on our total wellbeing.

  1. Staying present in the moment and focused on the task at hand.
  2. It will encourage us to create a more satisfying and productive online experience.

You are invited to take the Fall Five Wellbeing Detox Challenge by starting with the Tech Detox.

Remember to inform others of your Tech Detox plans so they don’t expect an immediate response, but reassure them you will reply in a timely manner.
